Rewards Club - Terms & Conditions

1.       Introduction

 

1.1  “Rewards” is a club provided by Cornmarket Group Financial Services Limited (“Cornmarket”) for new members of certain unions, representative bodies and employers as determined by Cornmarket.  It has been designed to benefit new joiners of certain unions, representative bodies and new employees of certain employers as determined by Cornmarket (“Entities”) by providing access to exclusive offers, discounts, advice, competitions and more (“Rewards Benefits”).

 

1.2  We have created these Terms & Conditions ("Terms & Conditions") to help you understand how” Rewards” operates and how to avail of the “Rewards Benefits” associated with your membership of “Rewards”.

 

2.       Who we are and the language we use in these Terms & Conditions

 

2.1   “Rewards” is organised by Cornmarket. Our head office is located in Christchurch Square, Dublin 8. Cornmarket is a member of the Irish Life Group. which is part of the Great-West Lifeco Group of companies. When these Terms & Conditions mention “we”, “us”, or “our”, it refers to Cornmarket. If you are a member of “Rewards” or a prospective member of “Rewards”, we will refer to you as “member”, “you”, “your” or “yours”.

 

3.       How to become a member of “Rewards”

 

3.1  You can only join “Rewards” if you have been invited to do so, either via

a)       a relevant Entity’s application form; or

b)      an Entity specific “Rewards” application form;

c)       you are a resident in the Republic of Ireland;

d)      you are aged 18 years or over;

e)      you are legally permitted to enter into binding agreements;

f)        you have not been a member of any other Rewards/Advantages/Plus arrangement provided by Cornmarket; and

g)       have agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

 

3.2  You will need to “‘Tick” the “Rewards” opt in box on either form (a) or (b) in 3.1 above to join “Rewards” and confirm you have accepted our Terms & Conditions and our Data Protection Statement.  Once you have opted into membership of “Rewards”, the relevant Entity will pass your personal data (name, date of birth, address, phone number, email, workplace) to us for the purposes of administering your membership of “Rewards” and communicating with you regarding access to “Rewards Benefits”.

 

4.       Restrictions on Use

 

4.1  You must be accepted by the relevant Entity as either a valid member of the relevant union or representative body or be confirmed as a new employee to be eligible to avail of “Rewards Benefits”.  You can only join “Rewards” once and may not re-join after your membership of “Rewards” ceases, is revoked by us, or is voluntarily ended by you in accordance with Section 12 below. “Rewards Benefits” can be availed of only by the “Rewards” member personally. Cornmarket reserves the right to refuse members access to “Rewards” in cases it deems constitute misuse.

 

4.2  Once we have received your personal data and confirmed eligibility, we will issue you with a “Welcome to Rewards” email to confirm your membership. The date you receive your welcome email is the date on which your “Rewards” membership begins, and you can begin to apply for or access “Rewards Benefits” from that date, as appropriate.

 

5.       Rewards Benefits

 

5.1  The “Rewards Benefits” that will be made available to you as part of “Rewards” are solely at the discretion of Cornmarket, may be subject to availability and are regularly updated and changed. You will have a limited period to avail of “Rewards Benefits” provided to you and some of these may only be used on or before certain dates which will be communicated to you. We will not be responsible if your application for a particular “Rewards Benefit” is not completed correctly by you or is not received by us in the ways required by the relevant terms and conditions attaching to a “Rewards Benefit”. Specific terms and conditions attaching to your individual “Rewards Benefits” can be accessed:

 

·         via weblink on signing up to “Rewards” on your relevant Entity’s application form or Entity’s specific “Rewards” application form;

·         via your ‘Rewards Welcome Email’;

·         via Cornmarket.ie/rewards or Cornmarket.ie/student-rewards; and

·         in communications related to each existing “Rewards Benefit” and new “Rewards Benefits”.

 

6.       Our Terms & Conditions

 

6.1   When you are invited to join “Rewards”, you will be asked to accept our Terms & Conditions. Please read these Terms & Conditions along with our Data Privacy Notice in full.

 

6.2  By ‘Ticking’ the “Rewards” opt-in box on a participating Entity’s application form you are confirming that you have accepted the Terms & Conditions. Each time you engage with “Rewards” or use “Rewards Benefits”, you are confirming that you agree to the current version of these Terms & Conditions. If you no longer agree to these Terms & Conditions, you will need to opt out of “Rewards” by emailing deleterewards@cornmarket.ie or online at Cornmarket.ie/delete-rewards.

 

6.3  We will not use personal data submitted in connection with “Rewards” for other marketing purposes unless you have given your separate consent for this.

 

7.       Exceptions / Amendments

 

7.1  We may refuse membership of “Rewards” or use of certain “Rewards Benefits” and we reserve the right to alter or terminate “Rewards” Terms & Conditions or “Rewards Benefits”, for one or all members, with immediate effect. This may include instances where a misuse of Terms & Conditions or “Rewards Benefits” has occurred or been attempted. Cornmarket’s decision is final in all matters related to use of “Rewards Benefits” and “Rewards” membership.

 

7.2  We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions at any time and at our discretion. The most current version will be available on our website on https://www.cornmarket.ie/rewards-club-terms. The revised Terms & Conditions shall become effective from the date of publication on https://www.cornmarket.ie/rewards-club-terms. These Terms & Conditions replace all previous versions and are correct as of 3rd November 2022.

 

 

8.       Using Benefits

 

8.1  You must have received your welcome email from Cornmarket to begin applying for your “Rewards Benefits”. Once you have received this, you may begin to apply for “Rewards Benefits” in accordance with the individual terms and conditions specified for each “Rewards Benefits”.

 

8.2   “Rewards Benefits” may include but is not limited to discounts and offers on selected insurance/financial products available through Cornmarket, which are subject to normal underwriting, eligibility & acceptance criteria as set out by relevant underwriters.

 

8.3  “Rewards Benefits” which expire unused are forfeited. Cornmarket shall not be held liable for the loss of any “Rewards Benefits” entitlements due to expiry or ending of “Rewards” membership. 

 

9.       Communications

 

9.1  The e-mail address and mobile phone number that you provide when you opt into “Rewards” must not belong to anyone other than you and cannot be allocated to another “Rewards” membership.

 

9.2  Communications that we send to you regarding “Rewards” Benefits” form part of the Terms & Conditions governing “Rewards” membership. Receiving “Rewards” service communications to your email and phone via the details you provide also form part of the Terms & Conditions and you agree that such electronic communications satisfy any legal requirements that such communications be in writing. Service communications cannot be opted out of, so if you no longer want to receive these communications you will not be able to remain a member of “Rewards”, you can terminate your “Rewards” membership at any time. Please see section ‘12. Termination’ below for how you can terminate your “Rewards” membership.

 

9.3  “Rewards” membership communications include, but are not limited to:

 

·         membership welcome and introductions;

·         “Rewards Club” Terms & Conditions;

·         changes and updates to “Rewards” membership;

·         “Rewards Benefits” and how to redeem;

·         “Rewards Benefits” expiry notifications;

·         “Rewards” competition notifications;

·         new “Rewards” notifications;

·         invitations to exclusive “Rewards” talks, webinars and events; and

·         cancellation of membership communications.

 

10.   Your Rights

 

10.1  Any of your personal information will only be processed in accordance with your lawful written instructions and any transfer of your personal information over international borders will always be subject to and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) at all times.

 

10.2   You have several rights in respect of your personal information which you can find set out in our Data Privacy Notice  .

 

11.   Websites we link to

 

11.1  Some of your “Rewards Benefits” may involve use of third-party websites and webapps.

 

11.2  Cornmarket does not accept any responsibility or liability for:

·         the availability or accuracy of such third-party websites or webapps

·         the content, materials, or services on or available on such third-party apps or websites.

 

11.3  You are solely responsible for and assume all risks arising from your use of third-party webapps and websites.

 

11.4  Links to third party webapps or websites are not an endorsement by us of such webapps or websites or the content, products, services or materials on or available from such third party apps and websites. You are solely responsible for your use of any such webapps and websites and any purchases you make through them.

 

11.5  The information, products, and descriptions of rewards and other services published our website or third-party websites, or a linked site may include inaccuracies or errors, which we will not have any liability in respect of.

 

12.   Termination

 

12.1   You can cancel your membership at any time by completing the cancellation form on Cornmarket.ie/delete-rewards or by sending your request by email to deleterewards@cornmarket.ie.

 

12.2  If you cancel your membership of “Rewards” or your “Rewards” membership is terminated for any reason:

 

·         all rights granted to you under these Terms & Conditions cease;

·         you will no longer be eligible to avail of “Rewards Benefits”;

·         any unused “Rewards Benefits” will cease; and

·         free period offers will cease.

 

12.3  Cornmarket also reserves the right to terminate “Rewards” at any time. In the event of this occurring any unused “Reward” Benefits” will become invalid. A communication will be sent to “Rewards” members to advise of any termination of “Rewards”.  

 

13.               Limitation of Liability

 

13.1  You use “Rewards” at your own risk and we will not be liable for all losses arising out of or in connection with the use of “Rewards”, or with the delay or inability to use www.cornmarket.ie or a linked site, or for any losses damage cause by use of a third-party website or webapp even if they have been made aware of the possibility of such damages.

 

14.               Governing Law

 

14.1   These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland and any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
