Cornmarket is delighted to achieve the prestigious Business Working Responsibly Mark. The Mark, managed by BITCI, is Ireland’s leading standard for sustainability and is awarded to companies who demonstrate a positive company culture of ongoing improvement, increased accountability and a commitment to sustainability.
Cornmarket is the only insurance broker in Ireland to hold the Mark. Achieving the accreditation is a rigorous process that involves an independent audit by the NSAI. The audit examined Cornmarket’s management systems and achievements across the four sustainability pillars, namely Economic, Environmental, Social and Governance (EESG).
To achieve the Mark, Cornmarket demonstrated numerous sustainability initiatives, including their Paperless Office Programme, which is working towards the reduction of paper, print & post and is facilitated by technology and digital investment. Additionally, solar panels were installed at Cornmarket’s iconic head office at Christchurch to reduce the company’s carbon footprint. These improvements represent more sustainable and greener practices at Cornmarket. The company also has a strong social focus through their Employee Volunteering Programmes which enables their employees to give back to their local communities.
