What do you enjoy about working in Cornmarket?

Cornmarket is a great place to kick-start and create a career. Be it in General Insurance, Life Insurance, Marketing, HR etc., there is a great atmosphere in the office. We have really embraced working from home and hybrid working options which has made a massive contribution to many, removing commutes for people. With Covid nearly in the rear view and the office opening for everybody, I am really enjoying meeting colleagues from all departments again for a chat when in the office.

What does your typical day look like?

I’m a Team Leader in the Motor Insurance division of the Personal Insurance & Health department so we would advise clients on car insurance policies. I worked my way up to this role from a Sales Agent position and I spend my day helping the Sales Advisors with any client or policy queries they may have, reviewing performance objectives, running stats for the department. There is a lot of variety in my role and the work is fast paced which I love as the day flies by!

What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead in Cornmarket?

Cornmarket's 50th birthday celebrations come to mind. A great milestone for our company and I am looking forward to socialising in person with the office again. I’m also a part of the Sports and Social committee. We have a lot lined up for the summer in terms of events, so there’s always a fun event to look forward to working here.
