What do you enjoy about working in Cornmarket?

The best thing about Cornmarket is the people and the opportunities for progression. I have been working for Cornmarket over the last 4 years. I started as a Sales Advisor on the Home Insurance Team and worked my way up to a position as Team Leader. I am now working in the HR team since December last year and I am building a great career here. Every team I have worked with in Cornmarket have been so supportive and have helped me get to where I am today.

What does your typical day look like?

My typical day can vary. Some days could be spent processing payroll reports or dealing with employee relations issues. Others could be spent planning our Health & Wellness or Diversity & Inclusion initiatives and arranging the logistics for this. When I’m in the office I like to use these days to network and catch up with colleagues.

What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead in Cornmarket?

I’m looking forward to our Wellness events scheduled to take place throughout the year and for Pride month and our 50th anniversary celebrations in June. Hopefully things will be completely back to normal in December and we are able to have an in-person Christmas party this year!
