What do you enjoy about working in Cornmarket?

I am part of a wonderful team within the Salary Protection department and truly enjoy working with all my colleagues. There is a great rapport within the team and we are always learning from each other. The job is never dull or boring and can throw up its challenges, but I thoroughly enjoy it. I am dealing with vulnerable clients on a daily basis and it is a great feeling if and when I can help someone through a difficult claims process in their time of need.

What does your typical day look like?

A typical day for me is dealing with and helping vulnerable people throughout their claims process. The types of claims we deal with are salary protection, specified illness and death claims so they are very serious and require being dealt with empathy. It can be challenging as you come across some very upsetting and stressful situations but it’s a rewarding role and I always strive to the best for our clients at their most vulnerable moments.

What are you most looking forward to in the year ahead in Cornmarket?

As Cornmarket always strives to improve products & schemes, I look forward to seeing what improvements are in store and what new schemes may come on board. Having expanded the team recently I also enjoy mentoring new team members.
