Am I over or under-insured?
People’s lives are always changing. New circumstances can mean you end up with too much – or not enough protection. For example, if you take out life cover as a smoker but then quit, you should review your cover because you may now be paying too much. Similarly, if you’ve had children since you last took out cover, you may be under-insured, because your kids aren’t included in your cover. The main reasons for changes in cover are:
- Marriage
- Having children
- Lifestyle changes
- Reductions in mortgage
- A growing family
- Future needs
- Other policies
